According to a report from the German bank Deutsche Pfandbriefbank (pbb), the financial institution has provided a loan of 123 million euros and orchestrated the entire refinancing transaction.
The hotel complex includes the Radisson Blu and Park Inn by Radisson hotels, offering more than 780 rooms. The property comprises 12 interconnected buildings arranged around a central swimming pool, covering an area of approximately 72,800 square meters.
Ownership of the Complex
In recent years, over 25 million euros have been invested in renovations of the complex.
Cerberus, an American investment fund managing assets worth around 70 billion dollars, co-owns the hotel complex in Bucharest with Revetas. Revetas is a European company specializing in real estate investment and management, with projects valued over 7.9 billion euros.
Investment History
The two companies acquired the Bucharest hotel complex at the end of 2017. Typically, refinancing involves replacing existing loans with new ones under different financial terms without enacting a new property purchase. The companies have not disclosed specific details regarding the allocation of funds or the terms of the financing.
The Radisson Blu – Park Inn complex stands as one of the largest hotel assets in both Romania and Central and Eastern Europe. Besides the two hotels, the property features commercial spaces, restaurants, conference rooms, and leisure areas.
