In response to whether he has consulted any former Romanian presidents during the current political crisis, given their own experiences with similar situations, Nicușor Dan unequivocally answered: “No.”
The head of state clarified that despite numerous interactions and negotiations in recent weeks, he does not believe a clear solution has emerged at this time.
“Beyond that, throughout this period, I have engaged in discussions with everyone, and they have kept me informed about their mutual talks. At this precise moment, I do not perceive that a solution is taking shape,” the president stated.
Nicușor Dan announced that the primary goal of the meeting scheduled for Monday with political party leaders is to explore options for forming a parliamentary majority.
“At Monday’s meeting, I want each leader to articulate the majority solution they envision, and I will request them to also share it publicly, not just with me, because the responsibility primarily lies with them,” declared the head of state.
The president emphasized that overcoming the political deadlock is primarily the responsibility of the parliamentary parties, which must present their solutions publicly for forming a majority and establishing a new government.
